Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Wyatt on February 04, 2008, 12:18:54 AM Listening as I type..and I am pleased to [hear] that y'all have been keeping yourselves out of trouble while I've been gone..
..and what a lovely job y'all did, too. Bravo, baby! Wyatt Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Oren on February 04, 2008, 09:16:56 AM This one has a life of its own. So many styles combined - such a pleasant result! :-
Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: folderol on February 10, 2008, 08:13:05 PM Mmm. The final mix of this is really good. The balance and clarity of all the parts is faultless. No rough edges left at all.
It's an incredible contrast against the original sketch Kara started with. I would never have imagined it could develop so well. Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Oren on February 11, 2008, 10:59:10 AM All the more impressive when you consider the whole thing was mixed and mastered in Audacity... :o
Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Wyatt on February 11, 2008, 11:01:45 AM All the more impressive when you consider the whole thing was mixed and mastered in Audacity... :o Ahh..but it's the workman, not the tool. ;D Wyatt Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Oren on February 11, 2008, 01:11:36 PM Wyatt,
I think you meant workperson????? >:D Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Wyatt on February 11, 2008, 01:18:18 PM Wyatt, I think you meant workperson????? >:D Haha..actually..even though I *use* a PC..I am not PC. :) Pretty soon they will have history re-written, Orwellian-style..so we will have sayings like. "It is a poor work-woman who blames her tools"..hmm.. ..let me think about that... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...Nope. Wyatt :) Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: folderol on February 13, 2008, 10:37:22 PM You do all realise that we have created musical 'stone soup' don't you?
Kara even managed to remove the 'stone' without anyone noticing :D Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Oren on February 14, 2008, 04:09:28 AM ???...might be a good idea to define "stone soup", old son.... :D
Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: folderol on February 14, 2008, 07:58:36 PM It is an extremely old story. I first heard it at 'story time' in primary school, and yes, it's even older than that ;D
I have a book called 'Great Short Stories of the World' where they have the oldest know version of each story. It appears in that under 'Ancient Egypt' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_soup This covers most of the variations. Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Oren on February 14, 2008, 09:44:37 PM Will,
Cool story - and an excellent allusion! The "stone" could be thought of as Kara's enthusiasm, which has most definitely remained "in the soup" ;) Oren. Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: NeoN on February 29, 2008, 06:44:16 PM Late reply but Indeed it's Great!
Congratulations to all of you Guys 8) Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Azell on July 10, 2011, 07:50:33 PM I hope this will be on the album "tribute for Kara ", it is really too much. Very good memories, my first participation. :) :)
Azell Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: offthewall on July 10, 2011, 08:39:25 PM Azell,
You are quite right to have picked up on this one from the past. It was a great example of collaboration. As it was included on the 2008 album 'Respect' there is already a fully mastered version available, if you need to use it. It's nice to see that you are going through the huge back catalogue of songs here, on Kara-Moon. It has made me realise how much music is here .... somewhere ... waiting for new listeners to discover :o ;) James Title: Re: Cyberblues Post by: Azell on July 10, 2011, 08:59:44 PM in fact, it's a test for me, to see if I remember all these songs, since all these years. But that takes time. I think I'll have a big bill internet during my holidays! :D
