Title: For Now Post by: Fred S on March 11, 2007, 06:19:26 PM I guess I should post my latest here as well...although not all that recent. Part 7 of Celestine.
This one showcases Martin's talent...singing and playing guitar. More of a traditional song (for me anyway) and the lyrics are also special to me. http://www.graybeardmusic.com/friends/Celestine%3b%20Part%207%3b%20For%20Now.mp3 Title: Re: For Now Post by: kara on March 11, 2007, 06:59:06 PM What can I say... another great demo of your talent.

This is wonderful - really nice tune and lyrics. The production is pretty impeccable (to my ears anyway) and Martin's singing and guitar playing are superb. I really enjoyed listening to this. Title: Re: For Now Post by: bahgheera on March 19, 2007, 03:02:38 AM Hi Fred. Sounds awesome! Poppy, retro almost. Actually it does sound like something from the 80's... maybe The Cult? Or something... :) Thanks for sharing, great track.

Title: Re: For Now Post by: zeoy on March 22, 2007, 09:32:29 AM Hey, great job both of you. Definitely has an 80s feel but not in a cheesy way. Great sounds, mixing job too. (we need a "thumbs up" emoticon here Rony)
Title: Re: For Now Post by: Laguna Rising on March 22, 2007, 06:44:49 PM Hi there
a nice song, once again This one reminds me of a rock-ballad in the beginning but the synth chords around half-time are definitely of '80's memory, and in this section the vocals are also different from the intro, imo. Different mood, and almost pop-music Nice solid gtr solo. Another keeper Cheers Title: Re: For Now Post by: Fred S on March 23, 2007, 11:03:01 PM Hey Zeoy and LR!
Nice to see both of you over here! Yeah, it seems I'm progressing. I was stuck in the 70's for a long time and now it seems I have made it all the way to the 80's ;D (we need a laughing emoticon) I've been remiss to this point in mentioning that Martin also wrote the vocal melody line which really makes the song (IMO). Sorry till now Martin :-[ |
