Title: Who is the next Post by: magmavander on August 14, 2011, 10:46:35 PM I found one hour to write this very short snippet (01'20). As the title said, If someone feels to add something I can make it longer (well if I find one other hour of free time).
Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: Oren on August 15, 2011, 07:48:10 AM Outstanding "smooth jazz" style. Once I have some other projects mixed down and finished, I would love to work some guitar into this one.
A la prochaine...? Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: magmavander on August 15, 2011, 01:01:29 PM Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: folderol on August 15, 2011, 05:38:47 PM Very nice work, very much in your recognisable style :)
I shall watch this from the sidelines. I like the music, but just don't have the right 'feel' to contribute. Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: Marc JX8P on August 20, 2011, 12:47:59 AM Very nice! It's sounding a bit muddy in the lower mids though, I would roll off a bit of the lower end on the piano (which sounds lovely otherwise). Might be my speakers though. It's got a great atmosphere though so definitely something to expand on. Might need something like a muted trumpet sound or so to solo over it, or a fretless bass played high.
Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: magmavander on August 20, 2011, 10:21:15 AM thanks friends ;)
You're right marc, I noticed too the muddyness. I dint EQ the song at all as I did it so quickly ;D Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: Oren on August 23, 2011, 03:16:52 AM Some guitar ideas...
Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: magmavander on August 23, 2011, 07:50:05 PM :;
Absolutely great guitar lines, I love it! Wonderful inspiration. Do you want the separated loops of each instruments ? I can upload it if you want. MERCI Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: Oren on August 23, 2011, 08:26:26 PM Cool - very happy you like it! :-
The guitar sound is too "shrill" (needs to be mellower), and some of the ideas are repetitive, but once I have your finished tracks the guitar can be performed again with a little more finesse... Yes, please upload the tracks - here would be fine - I can work with MP3 files. (the beats-per-minute, s'il vous plaît...?) Title: Re: Who is the next Post by: magmavander on August 24, 2011, 02:53:38 PM ok here it is, I have separate each instruments in two different loops.
The bpm is 96. The drum loops are a little longer because I used a crash cymbal at the end and if I cut it at the right length the crash will be truncated, generating a click. I dont know how you work but I suppose you can put these drum loops on separate tracks to keep the crash ? Thanks!
