Title: The Lady is Flowing
Post by: MarioD on November 05, 2011, 01:02:38 PM
My landscaping project has ended for this year and my home remodeling is in its final stages.  So I had some time to work on my new computer and DAW as well as do a little recording.

“The Lady is Flowing” is a quick and dirty tune I wrote so I could start practicing my wind controller again; it’s been a long time since I picked it up!  The song started in BiaB using the Bossa New Quartet style.  I am playing the nylon string, 12 string and lead guitars as well as the wind controller.  The bass and drums are BiaB.

I hope you like it for what it is.

Well, it may have been quick, but there is nothing dirty about this. Sort lazy chill-out lounge music. Works well with that drink I was promising myself ;D

P.S.
Strange title.

Thank you Will.

As you have noticed a lot of my songs have that “lounge” feel.  That’s because I really like lounge music plus the fact I can’t play anywhere near as fast as I could when I was younger.

I couldn’t think of a title for this song so I had BiaB generate one for me.  I know I’m super lazy!

You are one courageous hoser to admit to such an inclination, LongHair... :o
...and, you execute the genre with a lotta style... :-
Truth is, I've spent more than a few evenings enjoying a skillful duet or trio in some ancient hotel somewhere on the road...

Stellar guitar & woodwind playing! 8) The tempo was a bit too slow for my taste, but I understand that it was necessary for the purpose of practicing.

Very nice laid-back atmosphere. Lovely playing all round, mate.

On a recent trip to visit friends I found myself trapped in the company of a nylon strung guitar for a couple of days. I enjoyed the change so much that I dug my old nylon out of the corner and have been experimenting a bit with it.  It is a refreshing change, don't you think?

Beautifully done.  ;D

Thanx guys for listening and the comments:

Oren -  I wish there were more jazz lounge places around here.  They are all gone. KC has taken over!  That is Karaoke Crap.

Thom – thank you so much for those very kind words.

James – yep, a nylon string guitar is a different animal and as you said “a refreshing change”.
