Title: ChordPro 6 released Post by: sciurius on January 03, 2023, 10:18:17 AM ChordPro version 6 is released.
ChordPro is a tool that produces nicely formatted lead sheets (lyrics and chords) from text files that contain the lyrics and chords and some additional instructions. It is a bit similar to MMA, producing something nice and useful from simple text input. And, also like MMA, it is free software. (https://www.chordpro.org/chordpro/images/love-me-tender-small.png) Version 6 is the result of a long period of development and testing and contains a plethora of new features. Read all about it in the release notes (https://www.chordpro.org/chordpro/chordpro6-relnotes/). What has this to do with MMA, you may ask. Well, ChordPro can also generate simple MMA skeletons from ChordPro 'grid' sections. For example, the following grid section Code: {start_of_grid} may look like this in ChordPro, (https://www.chordpro.org/chordpro/images/ex_grid1.png) and generate the following MMA: Code: // title: Grid Example You can get ChordPro from Github (https://github.com/ChordPro/chordpro/releases). And for incorporating MMA into the program.

With one box per bar (or beat) it gives a quick view of the song structure.
