If they have the AI generated music is its own category then fine. That is have two different categories, machine generated and human generated, for a lack of better terminology. BUT if they mix it into the human generated category then that is wrong. This innovation is really taking over in all sorts of places. Over at Kompoz.com where I have done most of my music for the past 12 years there are arguments on a daily basis about it. People are sneaking in backing tracks produced by AI and claiming them as their own work so often now that is showing to be a real threat to artistic endeavour. But, it's one of those "can't squeeze the toothpaste back in the tube" situations. Not sure what can be done about it, sadly. :-[ |
