This tune started out as a prospective contest entry, but that is before I realized that each & every month, the time limit is 30 seconds. For me personally,I do not want to spend the bulk of my time & effort into a song by trying to condense it into that time frame, thus inhibiting my creative expression.
Also, when half the contestants drop out of voting-that takes some of the fun out of the whole thing. Sad

I'm content with just sharing & listening to music in this area of the forum anyway. Cool

This is curious, this one.

I liked the intro straight away, but wasn't sure about the later parts. The sudden timing and instrument changes seem rather a wrench on first hearing. It sort of grows of you.

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

Yeah, this one was starting to take shape as being in the style of Paul McCartney's songs, such as Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey & Live & Let Die,so I went with that structure.
Essentially,it still remains a work in progress,as I am at a creative standstill with this piece at this time, but rest assured,it will be dealt with thoroughly in it's due time. Grin

Thanks for the input.

Thom,

This one comes under the heading of "creative abandon".

Seeing as how this whole experience is about unbridled creativity, I'd say "in the pocket" Grin.

Oren,

Would'nt this piece more aptly be classified as a "creative pit stop"? Grin

I think once I get my hands on the Nord Lead 2X,I will further push the bounds of unbridled creativity.
Of course though, with the up & coming Nord Wave, well, that board will yield a galaxy of creativity.
The Nord Wave is mind blowing, but I am not ready to take on that keyboard as of yet. Shocked

Thom,

"Creative pit stop" - I like it! Kara-Moon is a musician's community, so we can post things here that would only appeal to a musician's ear, and not have to worry that some civilian will hear it and miss the point. Very relaxing.

That's why I like our "contest". Music created in little packages with a central theme in mind, so we can browse the various approaches to the craft, and learn. For me, it's not about the competition; it's about gaining a wider perspective in concentrated form. Like a "style injection"  Cheesy. Invaluable.

Hi Thom
this is really original, I like it !  Smiley
Very unusual melodies and leads, weird sounds and solutions
I'm always ready for experimental stuff. This is short but nice.
well done

Cheers

Hey L.R.,

I am very pleased by your comments-thank you. Cool

I would still like to refine the experiment further though. Grin
