This is something I recorded during rehearsal for music school. The song is a 18th century classic song, it's in the public domain now so I could post it here. Recorded during rehearsal with my BOSS BR600, 2 channels. 1 the clavecimbel and the other a pre-amped studio VTB1 mic. Mixed in Powertracks. It's not perfect yet, but I tought it was good enough to post here. Especially we never hear music like this on the forum All comments appreciated k

That's a wonderful and truly refreshing piece of music. Well done Kara. This is just the sort of thing my own wife used to sing many years ago. She loved 'early music' and madrigals. Alas, she will not sing at all these days.....it makes me very sad. Lovely song. James

Thanks James, If your lady used to sing songs like this, she will appreciate this one. The difficulty of this song lays in the fact that it is written in 12/4. For playing this is not a very big problem, think in 3/4 and count to 12 The problem lays in the vocal melody, where 12/4 is very long bars and you have to find the space to take air, expecially with a slow song like this k

Kara, since you like to experiment, why don't you try to combine this old type of music with something modern? Should give a hell a an effect, no ?

Very nice Kara. The singing is lovely and the playing supports it superbly. Like Moon I'd be interested to hear how it would sound with some modern elements introduced.

Yes it is, a real one dating from the 19th century As you perhaps heard, it has a couple of problems in the low register, but that makes it unique k Hi Kara..

Wow, very nice. I love the clavi sound (is that harpsichord in English? I always get those names wrong...). To me, the vocals seem a bit too loud in the mix and could use some reverb, but this is a great track and performed very well. Great stuff!

Hi Kara. Very nice and refreshing. Like the Harpischord sound. Noticed it has a very long release actually. Most harpischords have a very short release , don't they. Or are there different kinds of harpischords? Just asking. I haven't a clue really.
And as said earlier a very difficult song for a vocalist. Chapeau!
