Someone finally posted a user review of the Wave on the Sweetwater site, but I am afraid it was not that revealing.
I am waiting for one of the Sweetwater staff to give one of thier comprehensive product overviews,as thier reviews are very in depth & helpful-just like the Sound On Sound reviews.
I think the Wave is just still too new guys,so you'll really have to allow a few months to go by before you see any scores of in depth articles on this synth.
I suspect that quite a few Nord fans are being cautious & they are holding off on buying one, rather than jumping into a stretch of unknown waters-so to speak.
I think it's prudent planning, when you wait to see what developes with any new synth,so that you can watch out for any bugs or flaws that surface in a new product.
That being said,I don't think there is going to be an explosion of user reviews any time soon.
Of course, one would think that the Wave would be perfect since it's original release was delayed, but it's just too early to know what the deal is.
I suppose that the cost of the research & development of a product,is what determines the final outcome of the product's quality & features & if a product is being manufactured under stringent time constraints & financial limitations, then once consumers start to see of pattern of such situations, then they will be hesitant to make a mad dash to buy a product right away.
I've been thinking alot about the Nord Lead 2X & how frustrating it must be to have 990 programs without any LCD display names.
All those sounds with only a 3 digit display must be maddening,as there seems to be no efficient way to quickly locate a certain sound or user patch.
I can live without the built in effects processor, but I am not sure about the display issue.
I still want the Lead, but I wish I could demo one for myself in a store showroom before I buy one.
I just not very happy that all of the other Nord modeling synth models have LCD screens & the Lead does not.
