Long time ago though - and it really needs that Dave Gilmour guitar sound! But the main piano stuff is pretty simple (at least the way I play it).
I should be able to give a translation of this. I've never been one for learning to copy other peoples work, but I can do my own version. Will it be in the original key? (Cm/Cm7/Ab, etc)

In saying this, I'm afraid there is a bit of a shadow hanging over my trip at the moment. A bunch of domestic problems. I don't think I will really know until the last minute.   Cry

I'm realy looking forward to this,  it will be great !
Without telling any secrets, Moon prepared something (which I saw as a video  Cool ) which is a great performance and demo of the M3 and the virus.

We'll have fun.

Marc, if you want the exact address, send me a pm or a mail, you know how to find me  Grin

For people to be picked at Brussels, I'll pick them up.

Only one week left  wOO

We're gonna have some fun here

So, here are the planned tracks (not in order of playing)
- House of the rising sun with Azell
- Mamy blue with Azell, and a small backing choir for the second voice.
- Folderol's 'All of my sunrises'
- In the studio from Ofthewall.
- The new version of Folderol's 'here we go again', with french lyrics.
- 87PM - Some extract of there CD
- Moon prepared a very nice demo song with his M3 & virus
- Marc's Golden skies ?

We'll have some fun here Cheesy

Some pratical stuff
- Don't forget to bring audio cables, we don't have enough of them
- We have a couple of sleeping bags, but if some of you could bring your own, just to be sure we'll have enough.

@Folderol : Do I have to bring my linux laptop or do you bring your own ?
@ Percy : Can you bring your keyboard stand with your keyboard ?
@ James ; Do you bring an electric guitar or just an accoustic?

That's about it me thinks Grin

I'm not sure about *In the Studio* as I'm not sure if everyone has had time to work out parts for it!
And...I thought we were going for *High Hopes* (Pink Floyd)...I been learning some of that.

Definitely electric, but will try to bring acoustic as well if I can manage to carry them Lips Sealed

James

You have your name on a sleeping bag Smiley

In the studio shouldn't be a problem i think, as a structure it's pretty simple, with a bit of live exercise we should eb able to do it.

High hopes is another story, that is definitifly not a simple song.
I won't have the time to look at this one, I'm again most part of this week in Schotland.
If someone want a take on the bass part, I've found this tab which looks pretty accurate

Who? Me?

« Reply #130 on: September 13, 2008, 09:00:54 AM »

After a somewhat ragged week or so, my life has once more calmed down to mere chaos Cheesy

So, here I am.

It seems that Eurostar are running a service again after the tunnel fire, and this seems to be a progressively improving situation. Times may be slightly skewed but James and I should get there OK. I've got a sleeping bag I think I've used all of twice over the years, so I shall evict the moths and bring it along Smiley

If you can bring a Linux laptop DAW that would be very good. I don't have a laptop at all. I have my main desktop beastie, and a small, semi-portable machine that runs just ZynAddSubFX, but that would need keyboard, monitor etc. so would be a pain to transport.

I don't have any audio leads (worth admitting to) but I do have a Midisport 2x2 and a pair of quite long MIDI cables if that would be of any help.

I must have another listen to 'In The Studio' and try to get up to speed with it. Mixed French and English should be interesting Cool

I've been getting a bit of practice with Mammy Blue, and also re-aquainting myself with 'House Of The Rising Sun'.

I'll remind myself how to play 'All Of My Sunrises', but being a lazy tyke I'll probably work in Am/C and rely on the synths ability to key-shift. I'll also do a bit more with 'Who Cares'. (I think two threads on the forum got mixed up here.) As I composed these, it really would not do for me to be struggling to play them Roll Eyes

Phew! Now lets see if I can have a look at other parts of the forum Tongue
