Had this music in my head this morning from a composition that I created in a dream...it was about a movie with Samuel Jackson-sort like a sequel to his "Shaft" movie he was in a few years ago(which of course,is ficticious as well,as I made up the dialogue as the dream progressed.

It's sort of funk/ambient style...hope you enjoy. Afro

Cool sounds here, thom.
Coincidence  Shocked
Have you ever gone in for the KVR contests?
This song would fit right in with the theme this month....and it would only have to be trimmed by 4 seconds.

Excellent 'shaft' theme  Cool
Good drums too, very snappy, fits perfects with the theme of the song.
And of course I love that bass  Grin

Thom,

Nicely laid out, leading the listener through your various compositional themes. Very effective.
Some interesting textures, and the ending really worked for me.

Good bit of mastering, too! Loud, detailed, crisp.

(incidentally, I've been to KVR on a couple of occasions, but won't go back. Knowledgeable people, but no sense of community. Kind of a "jittery" feel about the place. I prefer co-operation over competition.)

Oren.

Oren,

Some very kind words, coming from the master of mastering.

With regard to your views on KVR,I agree with you whole-heartedly,brother.

I felt exactly the same way towards the Sweetwater forum, which is why I left that forum altogether and this is precisely why Kara-Moon is my whole world online.

Thanks,

Thom

Very good work (as usual) and recognisably your style, although equally recognisably expanding Cheesy
