Hi all,

Oskari Tammelin, the great creator of buzz finally decided to rebuild it. The original code of buzz was lost in a hard disk crash back in 1999 (!). Since this time it's always the same buzz exe. By chance the program was open for others coders to make it evolve with additional tools.

"New build is up. Hacks should work now. Polac effect still crashes, but it's caused by my MDK code."

It's a happy day for buzzers  Grin

This is great news for the buzz community !
And despite the fact that buzz is still alive only thanks to hacks from external programmers, this community is still quit big. A new version maintained by Oskari will certainly give it a push forward  wOO

There has been other attempts to create buzz clones which where never realy succesfull, or I should say partially succesfull, i think most advanced at the moment is Aldrin ? But buzz has never been beaten, expecially thanks to the very big community of machines (soundgenerators and fx) programmers. Some of those are very unique and very advanced...

It certainly would be worth an attempt to see if it could run under Linux with wine  Shocked

"Buzztard" is a step in the direction of accommodating Buzz machines in the Linux environment. I'm keeping my eye/ear on that development - this could be big, very big Grin

I'm afraid you'll have to be very, very patient with Buzztard, it is still in very early stage  Undecided
Let's hope they'll finish it before we all are retired....  Grin
