Imagine if you will,a cruise ship trip to the bottom of the world..where Russian waitresses dressed in traditional garb in accordance to their home provinces, serving you gourmet meals.During your month-long cruise, you encounter some of the most isolated islands on earth-untouched by man and soil that has not seen precipitation in nearly 400 million years! If you are intrepid enough, you can take helicopter rides from the cruise ship & tour a series of islands that no other humans have seen(aside from other cruise ship tourists). If you have $25,000 to spend, all this can be yours to experience, via Quark Expeditions! -Thom

Crisp, cohesive, uncluttered. Your combination of a repetitive theme with the periodic introduction of new elements holds the listener's attention and develops the mood. Schweet!

Hi Thom, I think it is not easy to transform the loneliness, coldness and also the charm of the landscape into music. You did it very well. Andreas

Oren,
It's so strange how one MP3 can sound muddy & warbled, while another can be clear with good contrasts, even though the efforts that are applied are equal. With this song, there was a careful balance of enhancer/exciter effects & EQ to give the tracks with reverb, their definition & presence.Initially,I was very concerned about being repetitious with the bass line, but a continuous, droning bass line was essential to the theme,so I did my best to introduce several different flavors of melodies & elements to break it all up.Thanks for your stamp of approval-much appreciated! -Thom

Beautifully done, mate. You should be able to sell this to the Discovery Channel for use in one of those shows James

James..........instead of payment,I'd settle for a complimentary cruise to the Antarctica-during which of course,I'd have to bring along a Russian/English dictionary...so that I may score some points with the Russian honey's on the ship! Thanks for your kind words! -Thom

Thom, Nice style you have here: I like those repetitive tones combined with nice effects. Ther's enough variation through the song to keep the listener's attention. The drums are great allthough I would have mixed them sooner in the composition. Maybe one suggestion: a cutting lead songs would add another dimension to your song, but then again, the end result would become 'commercial'... hey perhaps a good idea after all Great one ! Enjoyed this one very much. Moon

A little jewel despite the simplicity of the song. Those element come in and go out at exactly the right spot.

Another reply of mine has disappeared. This is getting crazy Anyway. I also picked up a bond flavour straight away. Nicely developed.
