Since the incinerating heat & humidity continues,so does my Artic tunes,in an attempt to sooth the heat-ravaged folks here at K-M.

After a bit of a long intro, to my taste, it goes in a real good groove. Nice bridge at 2 min and a seemless restart of the theme Surprising outro at 2min 55 but it works And a sublime end
Love it Thom

Wonderful stuff, Thom .... I think that I would love to put an electric guitar into this, if you have no objection? I would have chosen a whistle but the key is not suited James

Thom ... I had a total 'blast-out' last night with this piece. As you are getting to be SO proficient at the guitar-simulation stuff I thought I would try some techniques that you may find difficult to emulate ..... most of this is INSTINCT ... NOT technical The main themes are based on a combination of 'open string/fretted string' alternations. It is all heavily influenced by Mark Knopfler, of course (we are from the same geographical stable ) See what you think? If you want to remix just let me know and I can send you some *Apes. Thanks for the fun. James

James, There's some nice axe work here-but to be honest,I don't feel that it fits into this genre,as it comes across as a rock solo. Also,it carries on throughout the song and I think a guitar sound like this should be reserved for selected segments of this song. Your track is also too dry & could really use some sweetening. All this being said,I would most definitely like to have your APE files, because I have some ideas for making your axe work gel with my tune. This however, would involve me doing several splices & also trimming out some of your content,by way of sampling segments of your track & implementing some heavy effects. There would be some drastic alterations done & maybe some morphing that would make some of your work unrecognizable, but I think it would render some interesting results. If your ok with this, then please do send me the APE files. -Thom

That's fine, Thom. When I approach something like this I normally take this method. Play along with the whole thing then allow the originator to take the sheers to my playing and make it fit just exactly where he wants it. No problem. I'll send an Ape later today. James

Thom, One Ape swinging through the trees toward you, buddy. (via YouSendIt) I've put a 4 count click at the start which should line up with the start of your initial project. After that is silence for the duration of the 'intro'. Do what you will with it .... but have fun James
