...Sounds like the beginning of a joke. That was also what I thought when Zeoy sended me 22 tracks to mix into 1 song. IMO inspired by G3, Xander and Zeoy surely wanted to see how far they could go... (10 guitar tracks ! Plus 2 tracks with howling feedback ) It took me 4 and a half days, 20 liters of coffee, etc... The result is an outstanding song with the impact of a fresh egg in a micro wave oven. I know Zeoy did guitars, bass and noises, Xander did Zappa and Hendrix guitars, vocals and the rest of the noise. I smashed some drums in it and did the mix (no Tanga-Girls ). Here's the link to the final version : http://maxebelga.kara-moon.com/music/SacrificeMaxMix.mp3 Talking about mixes; some weeks ago I did also a mix of a Klayton song, also filled up with my drums and some more stuff. I must say I'm quite happy with this one too. Also a heavy song, with great vocals. Get it here : http://maxebelga.kara-moon.com/music/Max_el_Belga-So_cold.mp3 Have fun, Max... .. .

Hi Max A super track indeed ! It sounds vey well from the beginning, excellent productions and sounds. Drums are fine, did you pick these sounds from your huge collection of samples ?
Cool thing

Hi Max, I dig this Track here... Love the Guitar in the Beginning, the Vocals are great and the Song has something interesting in general. I love the distorted guitar during Chorus, it really rocks. You got my Vote, this is the style of music I like//

Sacrifice: great track, lovely bit of panning at the start. Drums sound really tight and powerful. The guitar is cool. Nice Joe Cocker style vocals too. The mix is really clear and transparent and a joy to listen too.
Whoa - just reached the solo guitar part. Man, I love guitar solo's...
The fingered bass also sounds lovely. The only thing I have my doubts about is the ending, I'm not sure that little reprise at the end works - but other than that it's a perfect track!
Top notch!

NeoN, I loved the song immediately for exactly the same reasons ! Those 3 components are in fact the essence of the song. They create the tension and the firework ! Laguna Rising and One, I presume yóu refer to the Klayton song. Most of it are the loops of the Celldweller remix contest sample pack. Wonderful quality ! I did the drums, added quite some more stuff and an extra guitar, wich you hear just in between the open parts of the original (first) guitar loop, somewhere in the middle of the song. I did a lot of things on that song. I just remember I made several new basslines out of the Klayton one, etc... Although itīs brand new, for me itīs already old, īcose in the meanwhile Iīve finished 4 new songs and nearly 2 more, while just starting another... My wife says I only do this as an excuse for not starting the repair job of the terras; and she damn right ! Maņana, darling... See ya, Max... .. .

Great production, Max. You really put some nice extras into the song.
I only have two remarks.
I seem to notice that the vocals at the beginning sound a bit muffled compared to the vocals from 2:15 onwards.
And maybe I would like a bit more stereowidth in the chorus concerning the guitars.
Otherwise excellent job.

I like this mix too (Xander-Zeo)
Nice placement, depth and EQing. Shows ability keeping things clear with these particular sounds. Very nice.
SoCold- Nice and clear. I hear a couple things I'd change, but overall very well done.
What I'd change- the 'ding dong' has a click sound to it that may be caused by the effect or maybe compression... I hear it on the 'd' sounds here (actually trailing the d very slightly). Sampley distorted guitar sound at 1:20 is a bit 'splatty', where everything else in the mix is so defined and clear. May be intentional (?) personal thing most likely. Nice job keeping all the sounds flowing together.
Another fine mix/master job. Great levels and sonics showing in the analyzers in both songs.

Hi fellas. Martin (and everybody else of course), now IMO my Sacrifice version is basicaly ready to start the final tweaking. I mean those little details like : a bit more of this... and a bit less of that... I sweated a lot on this thingie (from 9 in the morning till 3:45 at night; I know Iīm crazy ). So I was happy enough to post it; īcose in fact my intention was just to show my idea about the mix (it got kind of out of hand ). Final mixes are always a greatful subject for discussions and doubts ! Once a good friend of mine and impressive musician, worked 2 years on the mastering of his CD... He had no finacial limits, so everything could be tried. After those 2 years and a bucket full of money (less), the CD sounded nearly the same (IMO) as before. And he was still doubting... Conclusion : donīt get stuck and most of all : enjoy it ! Tx again for the response, īcose every comment is a spark for inspiration ! Max... .. .
