This music was spawned from an experience with a woman that descended down on me with all of the impact of a meteor, mysterious, fascinating, random, destructive
& resulting in total annihalation of my sanity.

Clean sound, Thom. And lots of fun.

From your choice of titles can we assume you're a movie buff? I was in the video business and the title selection reminds me of some of my favourites - this one, Al Pacino's "Scent of a Woman".

Nice work!

Thanks a bunch,Oren.Yes indeed,I am an avid movie fan.I have about 200 dvd's in my collection.
Some of the songs I've done were originally inspired by some bad experiences in my life, but then I turned them around & made comedic albums that have movie samples, but I did not post the comedic versions with the samples, due the fact that the PG & R ratings of the movies that are sampled have objectionable material on them,so obviously I could not post those versions here.

Some of the songs were originally supposed to have lyrics to them, but I preferred to go the instrumental route.
I like the way you think,as we seem to be on the same page. Cool

Just had a listen to this. It is indeed very film themey (Is that a word?) There are some very interesting instrument combinations.

Oh, did I say I'm envious of people who can do 'stuff' with percussion?

Sorry, mate but I'm just going to have to hate you forever Smiley

(well maybe not quite that long)

Wyatt; comments much appreciated. Cool

Folderol,

If you have pattern sequencing & quantizing in your set up,I don't see why you can't do what I can do with percussion?
I rely heavily on pattern & quantize recording & have been for the last 17 years.

I hope that you keep plugging away at your music & work on percussion,as I would like to hear some in the future. Cool

Thanks a bunch for your comments.

Kind regards,

Very nice tune Elwood.

I like that "squelchy" synth sound that you use.  It reminds me of a similar sound in a song called "Insane Again" by J. Geils band.  In their song and yours, it projects the "annihilation of sanity" quite nicely.

Lots of space in the mix. Very toe-tapping and definitely a keeper.

Cheers

Thanks Mike, comments are very much appreciated. Cool

It's one of my personal favorites, & songs like this seem to always happen by accident somehow, for me that is. Cheesy
