Here's a new song that I've made this week.
It's one of those that just came together in no time at all. Once I sat down with the lyrics everything seemed to flow. I love compositions like that.
And I'm also currently having a torrid affair with the acoustic baritone guitar!
The tones and physical vibrations from this thing really make you want to keep on playing.
Used it right through here for the basic picked track, in drop A tuning. Added standard acoustic playing a counterpoint and brought in the Weissenborn slide for the mid-section. Finished things off with some percussion from bodhran/shaker/tambourine.
Lyrics came from my good internet-buddy, Joel Sattler, and all the rest is me.

Here are the baritone and Weissenborn, for those who are curious.

Quite a pleasant song. I think maybe the vocal should be a bit more forward. Like the instrumental sections.

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

James you are one talented musician.  Is there an instrument that you don't play?

I agree with Will that your vocal could be a little louder.  However I think that your vocal on this one is one of your best.
