Title: China : horror...
Post by: Daniel Pompougnac on May 13, 2007, 08:46:16 AM
Hello,

The title is « Legende de Chine »
http://www.pompougnac-daniel.com/06telech/mamusic/songs/legendedechine.mp3 (http://www.pompougnac-daniel.com/06telech/mamusic/songs/legendedechine.mp3)

I've yet posted this song on the Auditorium.net, but this piece is very important for me. I like sing it.
My song is roughly "chinese style", as occidental people may apprehend this musical culture (pentatonic scale). The song include troubled musical breaks, with an unconfortable feeling. I've never created a song like this. It's unusual for me.
I use nice and free vst plugs from many dev'.
Mail me if you want know more about these plugs

The subject is :
"Although human rights organisations have long held that organ harvests and trade in transplants from executed prisoners are common practice in China, Chinese government officials have persistently denied these charges... "
Sorry.

Daniel

Lyrics / Paroles (bad english language translation)
LEGEND of CHINA / Légende de Chine

The morning comes, I raise the head,  / Le matin vient, je lève la tête,
The weather is cold, I’m afraid. / Il fait froid, j'ai peur.
Will cut me, will sort me, / Vont me couper, vont me trier,
The weather is cold I’m afraid, / Il fait froid, j'ai peur.
The weather is cold, I’m afraid. / Il fait froid, j'ai peur.
Will take a lung, will loot my kidneys, / Prendre un poumon, voler mes reins,
Quite alive ? / Bien vivants encore ?

See, it’s my heart, / Vois, c’est mon cœur,
Filled of thousand and thousand cries, /  Rempli de mille et mille cris,
See, it’s my heart,  / Vois, c’est mon cœur,
Which has sung the laughters of the wind. / Qui a chanté les rires du vent.

No bullet, I would be worth. / Aucune balle, trop de dégâts,
Too much damage less expensive, / Je vaudrais moins cher.
I will die, condemned to live / Je vais mourir, condamné à vivre
By small pieces. / Par petits morceaux.
The weather is cold, I’m afraid, / Il fait froid, j'ai peur.
Already over there, another waits, / Déjà là-bas, un autre attend,
He will take... take to me. / Il va prendre… me prendre.

It's allways refreshing to hear some new styles here.
You nailed it wth this  8)
This is not easy to make, oriental music has a complete different feeling then western standards, you've done a very good job on this one.

Do I hear some Kong audio plugins in there ?

Very Oriental production, and a frighfully important theme, presented well.

Hi daniel, good work!

good use of the typical quasi pentatonical melodies...
I recognise those kong audio plugins too... I have them, but so far didn't make anything worthwhile with them...

will listen to this one some more, really has a lot musical ideas and details to explore!

bye,

frederik

Wow!  What a triumph of exoticism, and lyrical qualities.

True art... this was muckracking, beautiful, culturally enlightening, and a pleasure to listen to.

Hi Daniel
I like this chinese music piece, very well done and realistic arrangement and melodies, the vocals are good too (maybe the french language adds a dramatic touch but it takes off some exotism), anyway you are very expressive.
Great imaginative work and choice of sounds

Cheers

I was very impressed with this. It comes across as very 'authentic' - not that I am any kind of expert.

Thanks for the translation - I regret that English is my only language :(

I'd posted this piece one year ago, about China.
Today, the planet eyes China (human rights, Tibet, Olympic Games, etc...)
Always the same thing. Nothing has changed...

It is my sad belief that politicians around the world are quite incapable of reading history books :(

Another thoughtfully constructed statement, aiming for the mind and the heart.

Art, at it's finest.
