Title: Home Town (Bob Hunt/Mick Emery)
Post by: Mick Emery on September 01, 2007, 04:32:32 PM
I just posted the most recent collaboration between Bob & myself on my site. (also here)
It's called Home Town.  Bob provided the backing tracks, middle solo, mixing, mastering, inspiration, motivation & patience.  He was also the surgeon to get my solo track to fit.  WE HAD A BEAR OF A TIME with timing being off.  (apparently codecs adding time to a track)
I did the horn section, special effects (crowd) 1st & ending solo.

It's a party, the EXACT same party, going on in TWO DIFFERENT places!  You enter the party through the door on the left.  Halfway through, you go through the center door and you're at the same party somewhere else!  When you leave...... well you'll just have to listen!!

We'd appreciate any feedback or comments.

Thanks,
Mick

Cool party that is going on  8)

Sounds realy live and the mix is pretty good, alltough I'm not such a fan of extreme panning for that type of music.
You can hear that you guys realy had fun making this.

Only very small constructive critic i have is that the rhodes track could use some more work. It doesn't sound as the guys has a lot of fun  ;D

k

Of course I don't have to mention that the live playing of both of you is great  :P ;D
