This is one of the most amazing & beautiful american films ever created(in my opinion) and I decided to take a couple of snippets of music from the film & construct an entire song from it...hope you enjoy this cover/original. Smiley

"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately...I wanted to live deep and suck out all of the marrow of life.
To put to route all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discovered that I had not lived"

-Henry David Thoreau

I don't know if I know the movie, here in france they have the bad habbit of changing the movie titles to something in French which isn't even a translation of the original title  Roll Eyes

But it definitivly sounds like a great sound track for a movie !

There you go again Thom..another stunning production!!

That quote put me back in time..

..I was a kid I had three big coffee-table type books I treasured,
and one was about Thoreau's life and writings.

Lovely music! Draws me in and has the follow through to hold
interest quite nicely.

Cool

Kara,

You may want to consider investing in a multi-regional dvd player,so as to avoid becoming lost in translation. Wink Grin

Thanks for the comment. Cool

Wyatt,

I'm afraid I'm not much of a reader,as my exposure to legends like Thoreau, are through movies...it's just hard for me to stay focused on a book, but I do read from time to time.

Thanks for the kind review & comments! Cool

Mario,

Not much chance of this song making it into a movie, since a portion of the music is not mine-unless of course,I purchase the rights. Wink Grin

Thanks for the kind words! Cool

James,

It's always nice to get your stamp of approval on songs like this, since your such a stickler for acoustic sound quality. Grin
In comparision to the instruments used in the film,I did not have high expectations of the results, since I only have one sound source to depend on-which is my Triton EX.
Some of the acoustics sounds on this keyboard really shine, but some are quite disappointing-which requires a daunting effort to tweak until a sound is usable.

That being said,I am really looking forward to the enormous sound set of Reason 4!! Grin Grin
Thanks for your kind words! Cool

A fine display of your rapidly maturing sense of composition and sound selection. (love that Triton!)

Very dense atmosphere. Nice melodies, and good management of tension (hold and release)
I enjoyed listening to this one.

Cheers
