Here is my version with Marios guitar part. I spread the stereo sound and put a reverse reverb on the guitar.

Hmm my internal has a problem with this In certain spots it sounds like Mario is playing behind the beat Since Mario and I already did a couple of songs together, I don't believe this could be the case... is that the reversed reverb that is giving the impression ? k

Thanks Kara
I killed the reverb that I added on the guitar part. Is this version better?

I think what we are hearing is the timing problems with MP3 files. They will often not line up properly with the original tracks. It is a good idea to exchange audio files in full-size .wav format, Ogg Vorbis, MonkeysAudio or FLAC. They will load properly, with accurate timing.
Because I enjoy the open-source software, I tend toward Ogg Vorbis or FLAC.

That is exactly right! There is no timing problem in the original file and I sent Andreas an MP3 of just my guitar part. Andreas, as I mention previously I can sent you either and Ape of Flac file if you need it.

Thanks Oren and Mario.
The best way for me is, if Mario could send me a wav file. So there is nothing to convert. If this is not possible I like to make a try with FLAC file. I just download Software to handle this format.

Mario.. A+ on the guitar work. SoundKlops.. When converting to .mp3, it always adds .025 second or so to the front of the song. I have used .apes hundreds of times, and never had a problem. Wyatt

Hi, I think I know what's going wrong with the timing. If I'm right, it was my own mistake. When I use BiaB's real drums I have a two bar count in at the beginnig of the song. When always is done with the song I cut the count in out. This is handmade and not really exacly, but normaly it is no problem. See also screenshot01. That is what I have done with the version of ellie that Mario has used. And that was not very clever. Mario posted his version with guitar playing and send me a file which contains only the guitar part via e-mail. I import this file in my sequencer with all the other parts of the song. Because of my handmade cut at the beginning of the file it does not fit exactly. Theoretical the starting point for Marios guitar is 3:01:000, but this is a little to late. I set the starting point to 2:04:600 and the guitar timing fits. See also screenshot02. Be sure, if I ever post a part of a song that have a two bar count in, I'll post it with the count in. I am very hopefully that now the timing is correct. For my ears it is. If not, please send me a set of new ears (or nearly new). Andreas

Your ears are correct! The timing is ok.
I also use a 2 bar count on all of my songs. When collaborating with others I always send the 2 bar count along. That way all of the parts will start at the same place. If I receive a song with a count-in I keep the count in when I send my guitar part back to the originator for the same reason. You may want to consider this in the future.
PS – good job on the song!
