My friend Oren asked me if I have anything Dark and Evil to post..I got a chuckle over that..since I usually am sound-hunting for certain rare strains of beautiful.

Funny thing about it..a while later I remembered this piece..with the eerie voices to go with an eerie poem. You wouldn't believe what I made the voices and wind out of. Smiley

The heartbeat is me tapping a finger on the soundboard of my acoustic guitar, high tech, eh?

My friend Dave is quite a good poet..I got an email from him a couple months ago, and there was a poem in it..this is what I sent back to him..he wasn't expecting this, I think it surprised him..I wanted him to hear what it could become..

The background wind and swirling voices I made from 2 different harmonica tracks of mine, tracks already in inventory.

I just did it for a lark, and the creative challenge, and this is, I think, the only piece I have ever done using someone else's lyric.

Coming from you Oren..always considered a compliment.

So just for you..the secret:

Hang onto your hat..

The wind sound is made out of a recording of me playing Canon in D on harmonica..
..that is mixed with the swirly voices, which I made from a recording of me playing JSBach on harmonica..I kid you not..genre: "wonder what would happen if.."

I figured you deserved to get this, because if you hadn't reminded me, well, I had already forgotten about this little late-night madness. Smiley

Thank you for the kind words, and thank you for taking the time to listen.

When I first read the poem, I got this wierd idea to try using some very un-scarey music..can I make it sound like wind? ..can I make it sound like eerie voices? I got lucky, and it worked.

Thank you very much for listening, and for your kind words.

This was an inspired piece that went step by step just as well as I could have wished for..if only they all were like that Grin

This is very cool sounding. The backing is awesome. I'm glad you explained a little about how you made it. I always like when people do that. It helps to appreciate it better I think. My only quible would be that I would high pass the vocal just a little to tame some of the boominess and help it melt into the backing a little better. Fantastic works though. Thanks for sharing it.
