...just looking for clues...

« on: January 03, 2010, 10:45:59 PM »

This is the beginning of a collaboration that Wyatt and I have been putting off since he arrived here at K-M. We have been associated for quite a while, having a common interest in Fender guitars, but we didn't want to scare anybody... right away.
Now, it would appear, is the time.

He sent me 5 tracks - one of which was labeled Thunder Lizard - for a project he dubbed "Sky Walker". Here is a rough mix of his initial approach. Prepare to be dumbfounded...nonplussed...blown away... wOO

Wyatt sent me his tracks, at which time I sang a few lines and played some guitar, and sent this back to him. Our tracks were exchanged in 24-bit 44.1KHz format.
Then he edited and effected the guitar and vocal, tweaked his synthetic creations, and sent it all back to me as 14 big stereo tracks. I adjusted some levels, mixed, and mastered directly from 24/44.1 to Lame VBR and Ogg Vorbis to avoid dithering.
Meet the Lizard... wOO

Hugh is the right word here  wOO
Excelent sound composition, it sounds very big, and each layer of sound contributes to this.

Very well done boys, I love it

This gave us a chance to work out some good procedures for maintaining highest quality audio.

Putting theory into practice, here on Kara-Moon.   Wink
