Maybe feline themes are getting overused ... but I really did like Thom's composition. This has nothing to do with that one, but cats can be so soothing and inspirational Smiley

I performed again at International Music Camp and recorded this from the audience on my Zoom H4.

The link

  http://mellowood.ca/music/imc/2010.html

takes you to my blog/commentary for this year's camp. The song is in the middle of the page.

Remember, this is live with no mixing or fixing. And if I could play it again I'd correct the little mistakes I made ... and make other ones Smiley The three of us (piano, e.bass and t.sax) practiced exactly one time, and that was not a play-though, just a overview to check key changes, repeats and tempo ... just no time.

Hope you enjoy.

I really like this song, it's very beautiful in his simplicity, gives a feeling of back to the basics which i love.

I've cleaned up a bit the live recording, mostly for my proper joy of listening, but if you want you can use the cleaned version for you site.

Not sure what time you listened to this ... but I did clean up and repost after I posted. Ran a noise removal over it with audacity to clean up some of the hall noise.

I'm wondering if I should beef up the lower end a bit to bring out the bass guitar as well?

Out of topic for this thread ... but I just added a page to my website:

  http://mellowood.ca/music/imc/hallack/index.html

This has 2 live recordings of alto saxophonist Dale Hallack playing. The first one is with a gal playing on a musical saw ... quite amazing! The 2nd is with a string orch.

I figure if I play for another 50 years I'll get a few of my notes sounding like his Smiley Mind you, he cheats. Practices for several (at least 2, more likely 3 or 4) hours every day!
