I wanted to give Oren's tune the raw, gritty, dirty, raunchy, funky and soulful bass that it needed and I'm happy with the results and hope you all agree. No keys this time,as I didn't feel this tune required any. -Thom

...The bass fits like a glove ... What the...? As good as any "hands on" bass performance I have ever heard. And right in the pocket - a perfect combination of solid sound, flashy chops, and tonal synchronization. What a fit! (any chance you could send me your bass tracks so I can use them in my own mix...?... )

Had I not read this first,I wouldn't have known that was a synth bass...I actually pictured a live band playing this on stage...wow fantastic Thom and Oren Cheers Rui

Thanks Rui. Actually...the bass is a VST,but it's not a synth one..rather,it is a sampled bass(NI Kontakt 4),to be exact. -Thom

Get ready for a re-mix with a twist... Thom's bass is mixed with the original instruments, and the whole thing, track by track, is re-pitched -0.318 of a semi-tone (downwards) so that A=432Hz. Some researchers claim that this pitch elicits beneficial emotional responses from the listener... You be the judge...

Thoms bass adds a lot to the groove. That down pitching is interesting ! As long as every musician is in tune k

Sorry, but I don't see what is interesting about changing the pitch. Maybe it's just due to me being accustomed to hearing it a certain way & I just can't fathom the benefit from it. I found Oren's original recording to be a little dull,so I brightened it up with some EQ...now it's back to being dull again.Oren's remastering on the Elderly Brother's album is incredible sounding...what gives here?? -Thom
