Hello guys! ..... guess who's back?!!
He's sort of an urban legend on these forums ..
It's all true ... Yes. He is crafting sounds in an old skool fashion many thought were instinct
His productions are wrenched together in a DAW as old as the Commandore 64 and Amiga500, ..
you will never see a magnetic tape cassette or a floppy disc!
.. but if you listen very carefully you might just hear one between the snares
and the 303 bassline LFO drop
His style is identical, .. but not
He is not know for pushing out bangers and anthems.
That's to serious for him. When it comes to finishing his tunes/beats/tracks ..
Let's just call them sound-collages! They start at random, and stays there.
What about his beats?
He always puts a VST called 'dirtbox' on some of his drum tracks.
His Cabinet Simulator on the recieving send channel is tweaked to make the B-side
of the already dusty sampled vinyl record sound even more fuzzed, scratched and dirty.
And then he breaks the beat so much that it sounds a bit like an unorganized death metal drummer on speed.
So broken they're about to fall apart and drop off into a LP-filter to never be heard again!
So if you don't like wierd, .. you're probably not going to like his moonlit sounds or his awkwardly strange
personality. But in music communities like this - Legend has it that there are people even way more amazing than him
Ps: When you guys see Roger, .. ask him why he's moved back to Norway from Australia. Heard he needs sum help with a tune.
